- he is constantly on the go and won't let you just sit there, he'll grab your hand and say, "walk," all the time. If you've spent any time with him lately, you know what I mean...no rest for the weary.
- When you have a camera in your hand, he'll say, "cheese," even if you're trying to take a video...he's gonna hate that when he gets older.
- In our bedroom there is just enough room for him to get behind the bed, step up onto some suitcases and dive over the headboard into the pillows. This is called "play pillows" and usually occurs right after the bed is made.
- Sometimes he gives you this funky little smile where he squints his eyes and sticks out his bottom teeth in a kind of underbite, toothy smile...don't know where that came from.
- He knows when he does something wrong and says, "shame...naughty" or picks up something fragile/sharp/potentially dangerous and says, "not a toy," but this doesn't prevent him from actually doing it or playing with it in the first place. I guess the first step is recognizing that you have a problem, right?
- He'll walk you to one end of the table and make you stay there while he runs to the other end so you can roll cars back and forth. Although, lately he has refrained from walking you to the other end of the table and just pushes you over there.
- He is obsessed with our shoes. Some of his favorites are Mommy's "fancy shoes" and Daddy's sandals. When I get home at night and take off my shoes he sometimes tries to put them on and says, "Hot."
- Boy loves his fruit, especially "strawnaynay" and "bulaylay," though he can finally say banana correctly. This is a big improvement over "can" for canteloupe and "app" for apple. His language skills get better all the time and a bit sad when he says things correctly, too.
- Anytime a light bulb is turned off or burned out, he says, "uh oh, light broken." This really began when the power went out a few months ago and he still hasn't let up yet...at all. The good thing is that he doesn't ask us to turn the lights on as often, so there's hope yet.
- He will open one of our closets and say, "let's see" or "wear?" I wonder who he gets that from? He can also identify everyone's clothes in a pile of laundry. Thankfully he knows that Daddy doesn't wear a bra, that belongs to Mommy.
- Any time a baby cries or he thinks he hears a baby cry, Oscar will say, "sad baby." This happens a lot. And if another child throws a fit or screams, he says, "no scream." Sadly when we say "no scream" to him, it has no effect...
- I believe he's going to be an athlete (or at least a water boy) since he can identify his appropriate sports equipment - soccer ball, baskbetball, football...
- We borrowed a backpack from a friend for him to ride in now he asks to ride a lot, but he's a little off in his request - "piggy - right - back." I'm sure he'll get it sooner or later.
- He has a little truck with claws on the front and one day Suzy pretended is was going to get him and provided some "Jaws" soundtrack to the ordeal. Now when he plays with that truck he says, "da dum, da dum, da dum."
Those are just a some of our favorite Oscar-isms. I could sit here and write all night, but that alarm clock comes early..."daddy, get out"...
I'll leave you with a photo of my personal trainer. Just when I'm too tired to ride any more, he'll say "more, more!"

Aww... Good list, daddy.
I love this list Tim! It's so cool to hear how he's developing and learning and becoming Oscar!
